Want a Home-Based Web-SITE or a Home-Based Web-BUSINESS?
This is the first article I've written for the Home Based Business category at andrebest.com. One can call this a home-based business, or work from home business, or even a how to work from home category article. None of these really matter though.
What really matters is that the need for people to have more home income coming into their home is higher than ever, with consideration of the current fiscal and economic state of, literally, the entire globe. Everyone is getting into lockdown mode with their money, but there is still money being 'left' on the Internet table, so to speak. I'll explain.
I added the home-based business category to this blog when I first created it back in 2005; however, I didn't feel the need to write on this topic. Until now.
I've been undergoing my own belt-tightening with my personal finances for some time now. It's simply a matter of life for most every day, but for those who may have been money-rich and instead now are financially-poor, or on the verge of becoming, are needing to resort to economic measures that they wouldn't have imagined themselves even considering several years ago.
But, as we reach towards the second decade of this new millennium the tenuousness of any past-popular financial vehicle is certainly and recently being proven as just that via the many current economic turmoils, scandals, and schemes of late. So, these many reasons are why I'm writing about the home-based work from home category via this brief article.
We've probably all heard about the old multi-level marketing opportunities, which are also known as MLM or Network Marketing. I believe that if they're done correctly, from the very beginning of the formation of the MLM or Network Marketing business itself, this type of opportunity can be quite profitable. Again, if done correctly from the get-go. But, this is a rare find indeed.
One has to search long and hard to find an MLM company that: has a good reputation; is honest; is not greedy at the expense of its members or associates; and, is marketing a viable, useful, and necessary product. And, of course probably most importantly, is in good standing with the regulatory authorities in all countries it is operating in via its associates.
But, I'm not writing this insights article to serve as a discourse on the ins and outs of MLM. I did that a few years ago via my other website www.Is-MLM-For-You.com and that website offers the detailed uncovering that the network marketing monetization vehicle needs to ensure that a proper perspective of MLM is portrayed and obtained by the mostly un-informed and mis-informed masses of home-based business wannabes.
Moving on...
Of course, there are several other popular home-based businesses to look into, albeit some are very questionable; however, these again deserve detailed scrutiny prior to spending time, effort, and especially money on any of them. You've heard of some of the big ones: franchises, envelope stuffing, copywriting, legal transcribing, and even placing ads online throughout the Internet and offline via magazines, newspapers, and brochures. Again, these require detailed scrutiny and in no way can be justifiably covered in this article to the depth that they require. Besides, I don't know enough about them to do so anyway, so that makes this point doubly moot. ;-)
But, there is one area of home-based businesses and starting point for a home based business that I can easily attest to, as I'm sure many millions of others can as well. And that would be an Internet-based online home-based business. Yes, I know - it's an old topic to be writing about, but, again, oh-so relevant and necessary for this current economic climate we're all weathering our way through right now and with no end in sight for the time-being.
Please note though, I'm not about talking about an online Internet business wherein one registers a $8.99 domain name and then signs up for free website hosting via the domain provider. Uh-uh. That is way too primitive a way to be going about creating a viable source of income online. It simply hasn't proven fruitful for so many folks, myself included several years ago. On the other hand, I'm not espousing paying thousands of dollars to some website designer/hoster/search engine 'expert' either. That is not the way to go to create a viable home-based business on the Internet.
You see, doing business online is not nearly as simple as so many website and potential scam artists want their website visitors and readers to believe, and then buy into via forking over their hard-earned money or credit.
Doing a home-based business online is much more detailed and multi-faceted with consideration of the millions and millions of other websites that exist throughout the world. But, it doesn't have to be complicated and unlearnable if, and I mean IF, one has the proper online source/teacher/guru bringing the proper wisdom/experience to rely upon and fallback upon when necessary.
I am not an internet marketing expert. Nor do I EVER want to be. I want to focus on making money, not figuring out how to make this ever-changing online home based business stuff work, and I bet you do too. But, no matter what you do when you leave this page remember this one thing...
Don't believe just any 'Johnny-come-lately' guru who now proclaims himself/herself to be an online home-based business Internet expert. Why? Because there is more to this internet stuff than even most of the so-called home business gurus know. You can believe me, or not, but do realize that your future is at stake, not theirs, when it comes to setting up an internet- or website-based home business on the internet properly. Offline tactics don't apply online. That's been proven over the last ten years of the explosion of the Internet.
So what can one do who wants to create an internet-based home-based business marketing stuff that works? It's really easy.
First, listen to next to nothing that you hear from most so-called business guru types and yes, even most internet gurus. Or at least listen with a very cautious ear.
Next, don't think that you know how to do internet stuff. I know this is harsh - but if you did know how to do internet stuff you wouldn't be here reading this. Point made? Good.
Finally, DO what Henry Ford (Yes, THAT Henry Ford!) did in the early 1900's...
When Henry Ford was in the courtroom 100 years ago defending allegations that he was not capable enough to lead his newly created Ford Motor Company he replied to the effect "...I'm smart enough to know that I need other people with the knowledge I don't have to be working for me, so I can focus on what I do best - running my company."
I call this the Ford Factor. And this is what I've learned about doing business on the internet. That is, this is why I decided that I never want to learn how to be an internet marketing expert. Why? Because I want to focus on doing business on the internet. And making money. Especially now.
You see, doing home business internet stuff is not rocket science, but it is unique. It is not about just getting your e-word out there in cyberspace and sitting back and waiting for the hits and the money to roll in to your checking account. Again, uh-uh. You are competing against multiple millions of other web-entrepreneurs, and web-entrepreneur wannabes. And after listening to all those web gurus, most of them are failing at what they do, so be warned.
Essentially, do what you can to learn how to create your home-based web-based business and then do your business internet marketing in a way that works. Forget the 'secrets', tricks, 'insider' stuff, $49.95 'inner circle' buy-in lead-ins, and especially the $197 eBooks. None of that internet garbage. Why? Because...
That is what I did. Years ago I admitted to myself that I didn't know how to do this internet stuff as it related to my home-based business efforts. And then I did what Henry Ford did...
I found an internet expert who did know how to do internet stuff as it relates to a workable online home-based business.
And believe it or not, I first heard about this internet expert - www.andrebest.com/preview.html - going on ten years now and since then I've come to realize that he knows more about creating a successful home-based business or work from home business than most of those so-called gurus have forgotten (to quote this old, over-used, but cogent phrase). Yes, he's that good, in my opinion.
So, if you are willing to at least look into how to not just create a home-based web-site, but rather how to create a home-based web-BUSINESS, you'd be wise to read what he has to share..
